2014 End-of-year Function and Club Trophy Competition
So, another year written off for the club! An "intimate" celebration was enjoyed by all who attended, and the club competition yielded just a few entries this time. Secretary Bruce took away the first place honours and club trophy with his "sweet ride", the custom cherry red '41 Willys (Revell 1/24 scale). Close on Bruce's tail six-year-old Mace got voted into second place with his (and dad's!) Tamiya 1/72 scale Mosquito. Last, but by absolutely no means, least, Russ followed very closely in the voting count with his awesome Shturmovik.
And the challenge is now set for next year. Lots and lots of modelling to be done by everyone, and lets see if we can't break a record or two for most entries on the table this time next year. While we won't be hosting an event of our own in 2015 there are plenty of upcoming shows around the country to get involved with. So be sure to stay in the loop, check in regularly, either here on our Bulletin Board or our Facebook page, or perhaps even come to a few of our regular workshops throughout the year! Hint, hint!
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing holiday season, peppered with at least a little model bashing, and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year! Peace be with you.
