OK,... so this year we are trying something a little different and are introducing a reinterpreted Class List to, hopefully, be a little less complicated and bit more inclusive. The aim of this is to provide more prizes across all modelling genres (and scales) as an incentive to members to participate, hence attract more models to the competition tables.
The following list details genres, most of which are divided into multiple classes. PLEASE NOTE: There are no sub classes, so this means that each class will have a Best in Class awarded. It also means that, as an example, 1/72 scale aircraft will not be competing with any larger scaled aircraft, and that motorbikes won’t be pitted against four-wheeled vehicles. This seems a fairer way to run the competition since each of these classes fulfill varying criteria, and require different consideration and “weighting” when judging.

DIORAMAS
H1 Diorama (All types and scales)
Definition: Models in a Diorama setting on a scenic base with crew or associated
figures depicting a scene, action or story. If figure only diorama there
must be 4 or more figures. Diorama should have a title.
H2 Figure Vignette (All Scales)
Definition: A figure vignette can include up to 4 figures, no vehicles.
H3 Vehicle Vignette
Definition: Any one vehicle up to 1/24 scale on a scenic base, with up to four figures
and/or animals. Base dimensions not to exceed 25cm x 25cm ( or similar).

J1 Aircraft (All types and scales)
J2 Vehicles and Equipment (All types and scales)
J3 Other (All types and scales)
SPECIAL DISPLAY CLASSES
SD1 BIG SCREEN SMALL SCREEN (TV & movies) (All types and scales)
SD2 WATER - In, On, Under (All types and scales)
SD3 JETS & ROCKETS (All types and scales)
It cannot be emphasised enough that all entries should be presented on a base with a printed description/title or name plate. This is because a) your precious models are likely to be moved, carried or handled by the judging team, from tables to judging arena and back, and b) it is a public display and adds interest and professionalism to the models on display (remember, the public are paying to see your models).
NOTE:
1. Each class will be judged "Gold, Silver, and Bronze" with a Best in Class.
2. Best in Class winners will receive a prize. This includes the Special Display classes.
3. All Best in Class models will be eligible for Best in Show and Runner-up Best in Show.
4. All entries are eligible for the coveted Most Improved Builder award and the Public Choice award.
DISPLAY ONLY
D0 Any model not entered for competition
PLEASE NOTE: Display Only models will not be eligible for Best in Show or Best in Show Runner-up. However each D0 model still requires an Entry Form to be filled out and a number allocated as they are still able to be voted on by the public for the Public Choice award. NO ENTRY FEES APPLY TO DISPLAY ONLY ENTRIES.

Entry Forms
To spare yourself any hassle on the day, you can now download and print off your own entry forms, and fill them out at your own leisure. Remember, you will need one form per entry (piece), and then bring them with you to the venue at set-up time either Friday (23rd July) or Saturday morning (24th July).
