"Bob The Builder" has been busy!
Bob Hartsuiker is an avid 1/6 scale modeller, but, as these photos will also reveal, he can quite easily turn his skilled hands to a smaller scale once in a while.

Derelict Bi-plane
This massive 1/6 scale aircraft was a recently completed project commissioned by a private collector of military memorabilia. The brief was to have a crash-landed WWI aircraft, complete with deceased pilot, discovered 50 years later under a stand of trees. Clearly this pilot had skillfully made an emergency landing, keeping his bi-plane intact, only to succumb and die from his battle wounds.
After painstakingly covering the airframe with a new skin, painting and detailing it, Bob set to with a scalpel to create all the battle damage and torn canvas.
Having been parked under a stand of trees for fifty years bird poop features significantly as part of the weathering process! There is even a birds nest tucked in the fuselage behind the cockpit.
British Free Corps Soldier
Standing guard and making sure no cats "foul" his garden, here is one of Bob's 1/6 scale figures in his collection, with a few hand-crafted accessories.
VW For Sale. Lights still go.
And when he had a spare five minutes Bob threw this little beauty together!
