2015 Southern Interclub Championship Trophy
Planes, trains, and more trains! This year the welcoming and enthusiastic team that is the Central Otago Model Society hosted our friendly competition in sunny Alexandra. Saturday 15th August saw a sweet full day of modelling in the light and airy Alexandra Scout Hall, followed by an awesome meal compliments of Kimberly B. The next day was competition day, and when most of the out-of-towners arrived the tables were laid out with a modest but quality array of models. Lester set up shop, a light lunch of pizza, savories, and bake goods was devoured, and then it was time for last minute touch-ups, followed by some rapid-fire judging. Congratulations to Greg, who embarrassingly slunk away with the trophy! But also a big congrats to all who participated, the standard of your modelling, and your attendance, is testament to how much we love our hobby. And to our humble hosts, thank you. You put on a great weekend! See you all next year in Invercargill.
